$5 Friday -- Window Crayons

I was so happy to find these Window Crayons, and I scooped them up the minute I saw them at Target for just $2.70! I have let Emily use window markers before, but the ink seems to run out rather quickly, and the kids have to be really good about putting the caps back on because otherwise they will dry up easily. The crayons, however, are brilliant, and they work well on any glass surface. Emily drew on the storm door, some windows....

...and you know those vases you get from the florist, and you never really know what to do with them? She drew on those too!

Drawing on the storm door kept her occupied for a long time. She was really enjoying herself!

Don't have any window crayons? We have used bath crayons with great results! They need to be a little wet, but they write well on the glass and they clean up easily. Have fun!

You have a way of finding such fun things for your children to do for $5. I need a little bit more of your creative spirit.

I haven't seen those before. Great idea. And I must say you are pretty brave to just let her have at your windows. Good for you.

@ One Pink Fish -- Thank you so much!

@ Ivy -- I laid down the ground rules before we opened up the package... Oh, and there was lots of supervision, but she wasn't interested in coloring anything else but the windows or other glass surfaces. I might let her have a go with some of the empty baby food jars.

@ Heather -- They wipe completely off with a dry paper towel... very easy! I found them in the Crayola isle at Target, and I actually paid full price for them. (Something I NEVER do, but these just looked sooooo cool and I knew Emily would go nuts with them) Hee Hee!!

I assume that tomorrow's craft will involve a sponge and some windex?

These look like so much fun! I think I'll save the idea for next year, though when my kids are more likely to stick to drawing only on glass. It's good to know to look for the crayons instead of the markers...

I have never seen window crayons. Those are really neat! I will have to look them up next time I go to target or something. :)
