Splatter Painted Fireworks

Oh my, this was SO MUCH FUN! To make your own splatter painted fireworks, you will need sidewalk chalk paint (click here for directions to make your own, it's very easy and inexpensive!), paint brushes, and a black asphalt driveway (or similar surface). Emily and I painted some firework designs and then I let her loose to splatter paint away! I wonder how many calories she burned doing this??

I truly appreciate all of the well-wishes from yesterday's post! I would say Emily is feeling much better now, wouldn't you?

Coming up.... a Jared Box update, a birthday celebration for Clara, and more frugal fun!

Wow she's having fun! :)
After finding your paint recipe. I was surprised all it took was cornstarch, water and food coloring. Easy! I happened to have them on hand and mixed it right away. :)
My little boys painted on our porch and they loved it! It washes right off too.
Thanks!

@ Ivy -- Hahahaha! She was really getting into it, wasn't she? You should see her dance moves sometime... Lol

@ one pink fish -- I'm so grateful for no more belly aches. I think she was making up for yesterday's lack of fun! ;-)

@ Jenelle -- So glad to hear that you tried it and that the boys had a great time! We've made this same paint several times now and it's always a big hit. Amazing what a little cornstarch, water, and food coloring can do, isn't it?

We just tried the sidewalk paint - I love it! It was one of those moments when Lu and Em ran off to do something else and I was like - wait! I'm not done painting! :-)

So glad to see Emily bouncing around and having fun!

These photos of Emily are wonderful, she looks like she is having an absolutely fantastic time!

We need to try sidewalk paint - once it stops raining here...
