Sunday Snapshot -- Happy 30th Birthday, Sesame Place!

A big thank you to Mom Bloggers Club and Sesame Place for organizing such a fun Tweet Up and allowing us to take part in Sesame Place's 30th Birthday celebration during opening day yesterday by providing free admission tickets for our family and a complimentary lunch!! We all had a wonderful time! Sesame Place is the only amusement park featuring all of the fun characters from the much-loved PBS program Sesame Street. Emily LOVED meeting Grover!

Of course, there were plenty of big hugs to go around to Zoe too!

Clara was big enough to go on many of the rides! She especially loved the character parade!

Emily must be growing -- she's JUST big enough to ride the fast roller coaster, and she did THREE times!!!

What a fun way to spend the afternoon, and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Thank you again, Sesame Place and Mom Bloggers Club!!

Dear Valerie,

I felt bad for the characters yesterday. It would have been very very hot in those suits.

For two days, I "worked" as "F.F. LaFeet", the caterpillar mascot for Famous Footwear. It was awful! I hear that the new suits have fans in them!

Love,
Mark

Wow, great post! We are going to sesame place for free next saturday since we are a military family. I figured it would be a great way to start Mother's Day weekend. Plus, since the kiddo is probably tall enough for most rides, he and Daddy can run all about the park while preggo mama sits and talks to Elmo lol.

@ Mark -- I don't know how they do it!!

@ Amiyrah -- Yay! You guys will have a BLAST! What a fun way to start Mother's Day weekend! Elmo is great company too... LOL :-)

Wow! That must have been fun. We went to Philadelphia last summer for the 4th of July and considered going to Sesame Place, but it didn't work with our schedule.

I can totally picture Mark as a mascot. Do you have pictures?

My family was there with Mom Bloggers too, what a fun day it was! I love your picture with grover and your little girl (I have one I'm using when I do my post, grover is my favorite).

Sorry we didn't get to meet! I'm still bummed about that. The pictures are adorable and it looks like Emily had a great time!

How fun! We will definitely visit the park if we happen to be in your neck of woods before Anna is out of SS age :)

@ Rebecca -- It is worth the trip! The park is super-clean and the kids have a great time meeting all the characters. They put on lots of shows and parades!

@ Christy -- If you're in Philly again, let us know!! We would love to meet you guys!!! I think I might be able to dig up a pic of Mark as F.F. LeFeet..... It was before we met, but I imagine he was REALLY good with the kiddos.

Your photos are beautiful! We had a great time as well but the heat sure did beat all of us up! My 18 month old had a melt down at 2pm, just so overtired and hot. But we had so much fun!

How cool is that! I love the photograph too. I'd love to get to Sesame Place . . . I remember going as a kid, so I know it's been at least 20 plus years.

Your pictures are AMAZING!

I wish we would have had a chance to meet everyone but, I'm sure we'll have another chance to connect!

I stayed until about 6p.m. we were beyond exhausted! We had a great time though!

The perfect pictures of that wonderful day. We could not have asked for a better day in terms of the weather. I really felt for the dancers during the parade as they were all wearing stocking and I think it was over 90s.

@ cocoamommy -- Thanks so much for stopping by! We had a great time at Sesame Place -- so much FUN!

That place looks brilliant for kids. I do have to feel for the poor guys in the costumes though! I bet they are all in great condition! They work in a personal sauna!
