Welcoming Spring

We found butterflies flying all over Emily's room this afternoon! Good thing she has a handy butterfly net!

Dear Valerie,

Where were those caterpillars hiding?

I thought I got rid of all of them.

Love,
Mark

The caterpillars were hiding in the cocoons silly. You know the ones that looked like fuzzy bed pillows. hee hee

We did a butterfly mobile last week and hung under our ceiling fan in the dining room so we can entertain spring thoughts in the midst of our snowsqualls.
Now we might have to make some pipe cleaner tissue paper butterflies for the kids rooms too!

That's so cute. Maybe she can catch fireflies in a jar tomorrow. :)

@ ReadilyAParent -- Did you turn on the fan? Then they really fly!

Your blog is always so cheerful and colorful! Your daughter has the best smile and you have such creative ideas! Have you seen Color Me Katie blog? Your blog reminds me of hers but for moms and kids!

@ min -- Thank you!! I adore Katie's blog, and yet never thought of us as a mom & kids version of hers. I am so flattered!

Butterfly nets have turned out to be one of the handiest toys we've purchased.

Such a cute picture!
